In our space, there aren’t a ton of cool companies based in the NYC area. The set of companies are limited to Crye Precision, Persistent Systems, and of course - yours truly (QILO Tactical).

We have worked closely with Crye products for many years (licensed Multicam fabrics made in USA), and it was only a matter of time before we did something rad and different with Persistent Systems (Wave Relay).

Persistent Systems’ Wave Relay brand & tech is best known for their MPU5 - the world’s first “Smart Radio” that is recognizable for its three antennae.

“MESH NETWORKING” SETS

We decided to create NBA-inspired mesh athletic sets with Wave Relay for two reasons:

1): The double-entrendre of “mesh” applying both to the fabric material and their MANET (mobile ad-hoc network) technology which uses a “mesh” topology.

2): Persistent Systems has - no joke - a company basketball team that competes against other tech companies in the area. They made a small run of mesh jerseys for internal team use only.

Some of these were put into public circulation at SHOT show 2024; having been given to VIPs and friends of the company.

THE LORE

One of these initial internal-use jerseys found its way to Post Malone who famously wore it on his guest appearance on the Youtube comedy show “Kill Tony.”

Posty also wore that jersey on his Joe Rogan Podcast episode (JRE #2018):

Our “Mesh Network” collab sets are inspired by those initial runs printed on blanks for internal use.

The QILO collab version is an elevation of the initial concept with the following features:

Made in USA (cut-&-sewn from scratch) 🇺🇸
Jerseys feature an NBA-style woven exterior label (see below)
Shorts feature an internal drawstring
All items are double-layered with mesh lining. The Multicam jersey & short have a black mesh lining, the blue jersey has a white lining, and the blue short has a blue lining.
