BLOG: Prison Wallet in Purple Drank (Drops 6/23)

The Prison Wallet in “Purple Drank” commemorates the late rapper Pimp C’s would-be 50th birthday this year.

The Texas based-rapper is best known for being one half of the duo UGK along with fellow rapper Bun B, and was featured on the hit songs “Big Pimpin” by Jay-Z as well as "Sippin' on Some Syrup" by Three 6 Mafia.

Pimp C was found dead in his hotel room on December 4, 2007, with a coroner's report attributing his death to complications stemming from heavy consumption of purple drank and his pre-existing condition of sleep apnea.
