The “From Kabul with Love” collection series was conceived as an ode to vintage Afghanistan aesthetics from the late 1970s to the late 1980s - the time of Soviet occupation and the famed Mujahideen fighters.

Our Season II sequel collection builds upon the first with the addition of key outerwear pieces - Retro Windbreakers & Joggers.

Ornate embroideries on fine, heavyweight cotton are featured alongside “War Rug” style all-over prints and soviet KLMK camo pieces.

“AFGHANKA” Set - Retro Windbreaker, Jogger, and EDC Short

Constructed of ripstop stretch material, and based on the famous “Afghanka” khaki uniform color worn by soviet infantry in Afghanistan.

The Retro Windbreaker features YKK Aquaguard main zipper, two zippered hand pockets, and a large zippered horiztonal back pocket. PVC Rubber Logo patch on sleeve and rubberized velcro cuff closure.

The Jogger features YKK zippered hand pockets and cargo pockets, drawstrings, and PVC rubber logo patch on cargo pocket.

Short features 2.5cm thick belt loops for EDC.

KLMK “Berezka” Set - Retro Windbreaker & Jogger

KLMK (aka Berezka or "Birch Leaf") is a Soviet pattern that was an icon of their 1980s war and occupation in Afghanistan. It was designed to overcome NATO night vision devices at the time, and is perhaps the first digital camo pattern to have been developed and issued (late 1960s.)

There are many versions of KLMK - all with slight variations of shades and colors. The version we used on these shorts is “silver leaf.”

The Retro Windbreaker features YKK Aquaguard main zipper, two zippered hand pockets, and a large zippered horiztonal back pocket. PVC Rubber Logo patch on sleeve and rubberized velcro cuff closure.

The Jogger features YKK zippered hand pockets and cargo pockets, drawstrings, and PVC rubber logo patch on cargo pocket.

Both pieces are constructed of Ripstop Stretch material.

A clean, minimalistic embroidery on quality heavyweight cotton. These hoodies are cut-and-sewn from scratch with hand-picked fabrics. We never use blanks for our tees or hoodies, and these are no exception. The hoodie is constructed of 460GSM Brushed French Terry cotton.

The simple, polygonal AK design is inspired by the 2-D representations of small arms seen on Afghan War Rugs.

QILO x MP5GUYS “War Rug” is inspired by Afghan War Rugs that have been produced from the start of the Soviet Occupation of Afghanistan in 1979 through the present day.

Our original design started off as a sticker, but has now been made into an actual rug due to customer requests.
